Joseph Lombardi, NCARB, LEED AP, is co-owner of Alter Eco, a high-performance residential and commercial builder based in Paoli, Pennsylvania. Alter Eco is a Winner of the 2020 Housing Innovation Award Bestowed by the Department of Energy, recognized as the top 1 percent of builders in the country for extraordinary quality and energy efficiency. Alter Eco also won the 2020 Montgomery Award recognizing the best in planning and design, advocacy, and environmental stewardship in Montgomery County and acknowledges the high-quality work and commitment of communities, organizations, and professionals. In 2020 Alter Eco was a finalist in both the AIA Philadelphia Design Awards, and in 2021, a finalist in the Urban Land Institute – ULI Philadelphia Awards for Excellence. Joe is also co-owner of Architetra, a leading architectural firm in Pennsylvania.
Joe is a registered architect in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, Michigan & Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Pennsylvania Society of Architects and holds certifications from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) as well as Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Certification (LEED AP). He graduated Cum Laud with a BArch degree from Temple University in 1987 and received his first state architectural registration in 1989.
